Leon caught a good look at her eyes. " I've got no mother. . .daddy hand killed her. It was just so hard finding daddy after that. I thought he'd have cared for me unlike my stupid mom. " He gave a depressing sigh. " But once he found out who I was he nearly killed me too. I've done everything he says everyday and I don't ever get in his way. If I just keep this up he should let me live a few more months. I'm surprised I've lived this long. " giving a pathetic laugh to that he had to comment. " You. . .your not human are you? "

So that was the story. Her frown had returned, deeper then any time before. Because she didn't feel th need to comment on his father at the very moment, she replied to his question. "No one is supposed to know the difference, I vowed not to tell..., but I'm not anymore." She shook her head. She shifted all the books to one arm, picking up her fallen glasses, and pointing to one of her eyes with a finger. "These set you off." It wasn't a question. "But I was born with these, born human, with them. I guess I was just a special child, even then." she laughed once, it being unreadable. "I was just a human who was granted an extra sight, is all. But some events occurred in my life...met some people I didn't expect and got myself into trouble. To survive, I had my internal clock stopped. I guess you could say that I'm a mortal immortal." To her own explanation, she was whispering just loud enough for him to hear. Simply, she didn't have any terribly grand powers and she could still be killed, but it took a lot and she wouldn't die from aging. After 24 hours, she returned to how she was when her clock was originally stopped.

This news brought a large smile on Leon's face. " Close enough I suppose. " Giving a good look around he added with a whisper. " I'm not human. Not a single drop of human blood in me. " His tail wagged happily at the idea of someone like her. Well that explained the books about humans. If one thought deeper into his topic choice about earth and its stars you'd figure out he was an alien.

The older Gelert rose a curious eyebrow. "Really?" She didn't see anything wrong with him not being human, but became sort of curious. "Well, not the first time I've met non-human people." she shrugged. "If you want to know the truth, I don't live with any humans either. I used to a long time ago though. When I was about seven, both of my parents were murdered. I was supposed to be too, but I escaped. I lived on my own for quite a few years. But now I live with my adopted brother who doesn't know what he is, a ghost that 'haunts' our house and an angel who declared us as the family he guards. Crazy enough for ya, right?" She mused.

" But you don't know about that. " The smaller one said. If his father found out he had told that to her Leon really would be slaughtered, most likely right in the very spot he stood too. " You really should try living with my father. He adopted a little girl who ended up dieing and becoming a goddess. " Leon's face was kinda cute. He was far to little to pull off a angry face and make it look threatening. " Father like /HER/ but not me. She always got into trouble, but he never hit her or broke her arms. "

Rhosey's tail flicked, this time dangerously, and her eyes narrowed. "I'd rather not live with you're father. I've had enough experiences. All through childhood, not by my parents though. And, the reason I'm immortal now, is because I was about to die. Quite a few people try to kill me on a regular basis...I'm truly sorry about it all, though. No one, at all, should have to go through all that." Even if she didn't know his father, you could say she already hated him.

" Well- " The kid would have continued but at the sound of his name being called from a deep voice made him jump. It was his father. With the armor over his shoulders, ankles, neck, and shoes, katana at his side and some sort of metal claw welded to the flesh on his very fingers he was easily categorized as someone who fought a ton of fights. The father didn't worry about his inhuman looks. What with a extremely thin body the man hardly looked strong. The most noticeable part of him being the blood red eyes. If any doubt that what the boy said was exaggeration the appearance and deathly evil glare he gave everyone and thing around him showed he must have been telling the truth. " Leon, Come on I'm sick of the smell this hell hole is giving off. " The boys father said with distaste.

At the very moment Leon's father appeared, this man clearly being his father, she stood up...in front of the child. It was sort of strange, to think that a woman merely stood 5'6', while wearing her shoes, and generally looked human would stand up to him in any way. She wasn't affected by him, not his looks nor his disturbing aura. She was glaring back at him, mildly, not showing full distaste. "Excuse me sir, but are you aware that it is illegal to walk into such as establishment while wielding objects such as that." She made a gesture with her eyes to the katana and the strange claws of his hands. For the moment, she would keep herself seeming professional, changing if need be. She may have just met Leon, but her natural protective instincts didn't want him to go with this other Gelert type.

A sly sort of smirk went across the gelerts face. " Actually it is completely legal. " He pulled out a police ID to show the other. " You see, I'm a cop. I'd remove them but this. . ." she showed off his long claws stained red from blood. " This doesn't come off unless you remove my entire hand. " He continued. " I'm on my way out anyway. I wont be leaving without that. " He pointed a claw at Leon. The kid's ears drooped in the fear his father might get upset over the womans protecting of him.

Rhosey eyed the I.D. and shrugged. "Looks like selection requirements have gone down. Oh well, don't like the police anyway." She made the remark. In fact, though it didn't make much sense for a person concerned for citizen safety to dislike police, she hated them and they didn't like her anyways. "And that could, ever so possibly, be arranged. It was never too hard to remove one's hands. Not saying that I'm making a threat or anything, just saying." No, she wouldn't do that anyway, and she couldn't exactly do anything out of order while in her very own work place. "But I must say, he's not an object, like you apparently see him to be."

" Ha! Living on the edge is a risky thing dear. " He laughed. Oh this guy found her to be nothing more then a push-over. " I'm not here to play games. Hand over Leon or I have the right to arrest you for kidnap. " His expression as well as tone of voice changed into a serious one.

Rhosey shrugged again, though she was serious as he. "I'm doing nothing but standing here, between you two. That's not exactly kidnap. Don't I have the right to charge you of your own crimes?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. "Cops don't get off on everything. And, by looking at you, you're guilty of something. Auras never lie." Her eyes drifted down to the child she was defending, searching for some hint of what he was feeling now...if he thought it better for her stop or not. It seemed too risky to step away now, she was trying to convey that in her eyes. She was afraid that all this would get Leon into trouble if she walked away. It sort of was a loose loose situation, but she was in it now. Oh how did she always get herself into these crazy things?

Leon, deep down, just wanted a safe place to be with someone who would care for him. Either that be with Rhosey or Albel, his father. Knowing he could never just ask some stranger on the street to take him in he'd be forced to go with his father. The fact being he didn't want to go meant he'd stay glued to the floor until Albel himself barked for Leon to come. True, this whole mess would get Leon in a great deal of trouble unless Albel got himself some blood out of it. " Who said I was doing anything wrong? " the gelert shrugged. " If anyone looks suspicious it would be the runt running about with a skull over his head. "

"Appearances don't mean much. Maybe he's hiding for a reason. Besides, he's far more innocent then you. Its not very hard to tell, not for me. Now people more blind then I am wouldn't know it but I'm not handicapped." It was then Rhosey had a bit of a problem on her hands, she couldn't keep this arguing up around here. She cleared her throat. "This is sort of strange, but I have a bit of request. I, frankly, am still unsettled. So, perhaps, you'd like to take this somewhere without so many innocent bystanders? Wouldn't want to cause too much of a ruckus. And you seem like the type of person who's willing to make certain deals. If you'd like, you can arrest me and turn me in or whatever, I just want to finish talking first." Of course, she did have a plan.

Leon gave a horrified peep. It would have been more, but he covered his mouth to keep anymore of that sound out. " I'm coming daddy! I'll go home I really will! " Leon's voice shook in fear of what Albel might do to the other. As Leon wandered over Albel gave the woman a smirk. " You must not know who I am. Let me clue you in foolish female. I am Albel the Wicked. Named so being that I was born as a tool for war. Mass killing the innocent is nothing I fear nor is it something I have not done a few times before. Another thing you out to learn, just because I am a so called police doesn't mean I'm one of those cops you see on the road. " For he wasn't. He had a job far deeper then that. Hired to run out and slaughter whatever person he was told to get was more like his job. A cold hearted killer who enjoyed those little people who got in his way. " I see nothing we would be making a deal over, other then your filthy life, that is. "
