Dark cast a warning glance at Light but he just ignored it. He enjoyed telling people how the two of them came to be. "It's a long story, kind of, so you might wanna find a place to st down or something, like a cafe. I'll pay!" he said brightly.
((Sorry, mum dragged me off to a caravan park for a week -_-))

Neither of the two missed Dark's warning exchange with Light, it was very clear who was the more bright and trusting of the identicals. But, as the lighter one spoke up, Renoshi's two different colored eyes met with Alices and they shared a small smile. Wait...Renoshi was honestly smiling... This happened for two reasons, even they weren't so obvious. Both enjoyed cafes and they both took pleasure in hearing stories about others, especially if it wasn't of the absolute norm.
Alice had a small skip in her step as she turned to peer down the sidewalk dotted with streetlights every few feet. The illumination allowed her to recognized a building. "Thank you for the offer." She started, but Renoshi spoke in the middle. "Your story has found my interest already." He declared and then the female finished up, "And what luck, there is a cafe just ahead." She gestured down the concrete path.

"Great!" Light grinned. He loved telling people of their story, but he rarely made it make sense. "Great." Dark sounded so enthusiastic about it. "I just love telling people! Don't you?" Light glowered at him for ruining the fun.

((Eh, sorry for not replying sooner. I didn't realize you replied...Jeez, add on three extra hours of schooling and you get a little out of it. Eleven hour school days suck.))
Alice's eyes shifted between Light and Dark as she walked backward up the sidewalk with her hand behind her back, fingers entwined together. Renoshi, however, was facing forward to stop her if a pole or something got in the way. The Ixi made an expression of mixed feelings- worried, debating, and several others. "How about this, Dark? Since you don't seem to like giving away your story..." she paused, making one last debate about what she was thinking. "Would it seem more correct if I told you our story?" She didn't like it so much that he acted so different after Light appeared and after he, well, was told and saw a little about the oddness that was she and her companions. He'd actually made her laugh when they first met; it was wrong for a person not to seem happy when they held the chance to be. So maybe if she explained things at least that strange factor she held would be clarified, it would be a start to clearing the awkwardness- hopefully.

He looked at her for a moment before nodding. "That seems fair. A tale for a tale. " Light smiled. He liked to hear stories. Something seemed to be up with Dark though. Normally he was never this grumpy.

"Its an deal then." Alice smiled faintly. At this time, Renoshi stopped and turned on his heels t face the rest of the group. "I believe we are here." He gestured to the cafe the stood in front of now, the one Alice had pointed out when Light first suggested they find some place to sit down. He pulled the door open and waved his hand, a formal gesture to allow everyone else to go in first.

Light and Dark held back to allow Alice to gain entry first, as was only polite before entering the cafe themselves. Dark sat himself down beside Light, making sure to avoid all eye contact with the other two. They made him feel nervous, and he didn't want them to see it.

As Alice and Renoshi took their places, they sat next to each other on the opposite side of the table the identicals had chosen. Renoshi glanced at Dark for a spare moment, before just looking at the two together. Perhaps the female and her...body guard could somewhat feel the tension being strung out, possibly ready to snap. And the Kyrii coughed lightly in his own fist. Alice ignored it, while getting the message. "So, who shall begin?" she addressed Dark and Light as a pair, not signaling them out for the fact of odd tension.

"I will." Light grinned. "Well, it was our...my...whatever, I'll just say my for simplicities sake....It was my first week out of the academy, and I'd just started at the station. It was my third day there. I was standing outside the station with my boss, Christophe. We were discussing matters and such. Then, a bomb went off. We're still not sure what was in it, but it had to be some kind of magic. Christophe and I caught most of the blast but I more than he. Those further away from us perished instantly...but...when I opened my eyes there was someone lying on top of me. When the blurriness faded, I realised I was staring at a carbon copy of myself..."

Both the Ixi and the Kyrii listened intently, allowing both the storyteller and the other figure in the story respect in that, at least. They both kept themselves pretty composed, not like much could really surprise them- they already defied plenty of logic. However, they did exchange quick glances at each other at the end, not moving their heads.
"So...you two are in fact one person? Well, technically?" Alice asked, though that was pretty clear. "And you were divided- the lighter half and the darker half." Renoshi's words weren't really questioning, but more of a statement.

"Yes." they both said. "but it's more complicated than that..." Dark glanced at Light. "We are inface almost complete opposites...aside from look and gender." "Though we both still like surfing." Light grinned. "God...We haven't done that in years..." the other murmured longingly. "It's kinda hard when you live in the desert most of the time." Light sighed sadly.

Alice smiled faintly. "Ah well, I can see that. Both of you being so different, I mean." She exchanged glances with Renoshi. Neither of the two had any true idea as to what surfing was. Years ago, when Alice was I child, she'd heard of it but was absolutely oblivious now. "For you to even be able to hold onto my tale, it is necessary to understand Alice first." The Kyrii clarified. "Yes, yes." The Ixi agreed. "I take it, sometime or another, you've heard of the children's story, 'Alice in Wonderland'? Most have heard of that fairytale, whether or not they remember it as adults."

Light frowned a moment. "Yes, I have heard of that. I always thought it was a rather odd story, but an enjoyable one at the same time." Dark just nodded.

"Ah, very good then. It gives me less to explain." Alice replied, preparing to jump into her own story. Renoshi just sat quietly, waiting and content with only listening. "Since you both know of the beginning of the story, telling you about it isn't necessary. But sometimes people wonder what happened to little Alice after she returned home from Wonderland. Who would have thought that the little girl's family betrayed her? They thought her insane when she told them about her adventure, signing her up for what ever treatment they thought was needed. She was sent to counseling quite often, but she was perfectly sane and didn't need it. Eventually her family died when they left the fireplace open at night. Alice was saved by some firefighters, but her mother, father and sister weren't so fortunate." She paused, looking at the other two to gage their reactions before continuing. "With no where to go, she was sent to an asylum and 'treated' with a shock chair because of nightmares she had- mostly about the fire. But they were warped, mixing Wonderland and that fiery night together. After awhile, Alice went numb. She couldn't feel pain, she had no feeling at all. She couldn't even be happy and she couldn't cry either, she was just an empty shell. She did gain some of her feelings back, her hatred and anger toward everyone who trapped her in the institute. She really did loose it at that point, and destroyed much of the facility to escape, falling back into Wonderland. Once she was safe, everything she lost had returned, she could feel again and she calmed down. She was happy, well, as happy as anyone could be after being betrayed by everyone..." She looked at them again, almost cautious. There was more to the story, you could tell that by looking at her eyes. But she made a longer pause to really see their reactions- afraid that they would think her insane or something like that.

Light looked horrified at the mere mention of the assylum and the fire, he looked sorrowful. Dark kept his face blank but there were a turmoil of emotions in his blue eyes. "Oh how horrible!" Light murmured. "I see no reason why such a tale cannot be true...no one believes us, except our close friends and family. I guess...this Alice...is you?" he asked gently. Dark nodded. "I would think it is her...an awful tale to repeat, one even more awful to live, let alone survive..." He looked at Alcie with more respect now.
