"Yeah, I'd imagine a lot of people would get paranoid about it. But, I guess some would be alright. Most would wanna lock you up, though." She said with a shrug. Then she thought of the idea that he actually sort of trusted her with such a secret. "But all that aside, thanks for inviting me, this is great." She smiled, finishing off her sandwich.

If War's tail hadn't been hidden under the back of his coat, Lang would have seen it flick once, like an irritated cat. Hah, the police already had it in for him, or at least his secondary identities. But of course he trusted Lang. At this point, he couldn't really think of anything he felt the need to keep from her. And she trusted him too, right? "You're welcome. I think I owe it to you after disappearing for awhile." He retrieved his lemonade and took a quick drink. This was to give him a moment to think. "Hey Lang, anything new with your more dangerous side?" He was curious, yes, but mostly honestly wanted to know so he could try to help her or something of the like.

"Oh, you don't owe me a thing. You've already been so awesome to me." She replied, a semi-meak smile on her face. She had one last strawberry, before strumming her fingers on a knee in thought. "Well, not really, haven't had too many experiences that really woke it up. But, lately I have had a few nightmares and stuff. Good days and bad days, ya know? Just lotsa scary dreams along those lines, and all." She said with a small frown.

A frown came on his face while hearing of her not so pleasant experiences. Now wasn't the time to consume food or drink and end up pausing. "I'm really sorry. Is there anything I can do to help?" Though he doubted he could help with her nightmares. "If you don't mind me asking, what are they like exactly?" He questioned. "You don't have to answer, though, if you'd rather not."

"Well, I can't really think of anything you do. I guess, I can't really totally be rid of it, you know?" She shrugged a bit. "Don't mind it at all, but I don't remember all of it too vividly. I remember one was about I was walking through the street, and saw the people I cared about, or random people, and I was totally conscious of it, but I couldn't stop hurting them, and I was just, a killer..." She began, explaining with a frown. "It was really just, horrible feelings like that."

War's frown deepened. In a sense, he knew what she was talking about, he had experienced somewhat similar things before. But he couldn't help but to become worried. He really disliked the idea of Lang having to go through the stuff like that. He didn't believe she deserved such a thing. "I don't see you becoming a killer." His words were quieter, but he meant them. Even if she lost it, she wouldn't be completely free of her willingness not to be. Somewhere, the real her would reside, even if hiding in fear. And that created the idea of hope, why War wouldn't give up on her, even if it came down to it. "If you want to know the truth, I've been thinking of a lot of things this last while. I think I'm coming much closer to the conclusion of my reasoning for always wanting to be around."
Ooc: Sometimes its freaky about how well my music is at coming on at the right time. As I started reading/replying the song Silver and Cold by AFI came on. And then The Kill by 30 seconds to Mars came on...

"Yeah, I don't want to be like that. I'm just afraid I will anyway, it's all so real, and I do have that thing inside of me, it's all really odd..." She mumbled, shrugging. It was comforting to hear that from him, but at this point, she wasn't even sure if there was too much hope for her. It was already so there, she felt the presence. "Oh really? You still won't tell me that reason, huh?" She smiled at the different subject, fidgetting into a more comfortable position where her elbows rested on her knees.
ooc: Haha, yeah, I know. I love it when that happens. Didn't happen for me though. While I was writing this, Face Down by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus came on, and that so doesn't fit, haha. Wife beaterness. But I think when they were singing in the kitchen, one of those songs actually came on for me, which I found cool, it was like, 1 outta 2000. x]

War's eyes closed, opening again after a single breath. "So long as there is a part of the real you somewhere within, even just a fading glimmer, it can be banished." He was positive that no matter how strong the urge to kill or drink blood became that if the one her he know, the one he considered to be the real Lang, was hidden somewhere that the vampire could be overthrown and pushed back into containment. "Perhaps...I will." With his he gave her a faint smile. But it was also clear he wasn't going to tell her right this second. He took another long glance at the darkening sky. He assumed there to be just enough time for them to finish eating before the sun went down.
Ooc: O.o Oh lovely. Hah, that's awesome though. Nothing better then for music to work with you. *nodnod* I never thought of Silver and Cold, but it once it came on I sorta realized that it could work.

"Hopefully, I am in control for the most part at least, that's reassuring. I just hope it stays that way." She said, shrugging as she thought on the matter. "Really? Ah, the suspense is killing me. You'll need to tell me some time, you know." She replied, smirking, and getting a small helping of some macaroni while they spoke.

A firm nod seemed to be the fallout of the more unsettling subject of unhealthy vampiric urges. "Sometime yes, but patience is still a virtue. Something will have to be clarified before hand is all." He didn't go on, saying what and he intended to right at this moment either. But before long, he would. For now, he contented himself with a few strawberries.

She sighed, munching on her macaroni now. She really had no idea what he was talking about, what's so secret about a reason to stay? She had two ideas : Either it would be very, very good news, or devastatingly horrible, like he only had a little bit of time left because he was leaving or dying, or something, or because he just thought of her as a really good friend and that was it or something. But the really good friend only thing wouldn't be so horrible at all, just a tiny bit sad. "Just tell me before I explode of curiousity, that's all I ask." She replied, smiling lightly before continuing eating.

"Now don't do that. If you explode, I'll never be able to tell you. Unless I told you on your deathbed, but it wouldn't really matter so much then." he remarked, plopping yet another berry into his mouth and took a swig of lemonade afterward. He was at ease, or at least the picture of it, but he was going over the last of the complicated details that he knew he would still have trouble speaking. To get all the cards out on the table, even the more unpleasant ones, so to speak, was going to be a little problematic.

"Then you'll have to make sure to tell me before it's late, now wontcha?" She said, grinning as she took a sip of her own lemonade. Maybe if he had enough bravery to say what he was talking about, she might tell him something too. Of course, she wanted to wait and see what it is, because if it were one of those horrible things that she was thinking of, she probably just couldn't tell him.

"Fine then, I tell you before you die." He said, though that wasn't very clear. He held up his wrist to look at the time. For once in his life, he was wearing a watch. Time, to him today, held some significance. After a few minutes of silent eating, him finishing up his macaroni and having done away with the last strawberry of his already, War began to speak again. "You know, I think so know just about everything there is to know about me." The he said it made it seem as if that thought just randomly popped into his head and he said it allowed, like what had happened a few times before. "At least everything I can tell you. I don't even know everything." He chuckled bitterly.

"Really? Wow, well, obviously not everything, if I'm still waiting to hear that secret from you. You know, you know a lot about me, too. You've heard most all of my good stories from the orphanage...not all of them though. Oh, and one time, I stuck a thong in the boy's bathroom, that was funny. Yeah, those are most of the big stories." She said, grinning, and chuckling a tad at that last part. Man, that was hilarious, a little kid ended up finding it, and actually went to a parent and asked what it was, classic. "But yeah, I like having someone actually know me, and not run away or anything." She said with a smile. So, that last thing she said about the thong wasn't entirely her, but when she thought back to her good ol' rebel days, she tended to become a little more like she used to be. Then she started finishing up on her macaroni, as well.
