"Mm, bread, maybe? Or coffee cake or something." She said with a shrug, something small and simple like that. She wasn't quite in an extravagant food sort of mood, really.
Being in the city they were, there were shops of all sorts around, and even a resturaunt or two. "Hey, theres one! That was quick." She said with a smile, having just crossed the street, and there was a small cafe in the corner. "Shall we?" She said with a smile, looking over to him with a cheery smile.

"Seems simple enough." he said, right before walking across the street and coming upon just what they was looking for. He smiled at her excitement. So far this trip to the city was turning out just fine. "We shall." he said, playing along with her words and attempting to match her cheery voice. What an interesting sight that was, some dark evil looking guy with blades growing from his back acting all bright and happy.
He stepped up to the cafe, pulled open the door, and held it open for her. "My lady." he said, his tone more serious yet still playful now. Simple fun was turning out to be just what he needed. And he actually surprised himself with how he was acting it so well.
(Meh, I have to go take a quick shower, so I'll be back in a bit.)

She smiled again, hearing him go along with it like that was quite amusing. She grinned as he held the door for him, saying an equally polite "Thank you, sir." with a little curtsy even, before she walked on through the door.
Upon entering, she looked around, a dainty little cafe with most of the normal stuff, and a wonderful aroma of fresh baked goodies. Yay! Fresh goodies for Lang!

"You're welcome." War returned just as politely as before. But he couldn't help but to chuckle lightly as he followed in after the Ixi.
The sweet scent of the little cafe attacked his nose, but he welcomed it happily. He actually took a few deep breaths, absorbing the delicious smell before stepping up beside Lang. "So, what would you like?" he then asked, looking over to her.
Of course, the Aisha did attract some attention. A few stray eyes of the other guests wandered over to him, for standing out so much. However, he failed to notice, giving his attention instead to Lang.

Lang entered fully in, smiling lightly at the scent. "No idea, it all looks good." She said with a grin, now looking up to the large menue above the counter.
"Mm...Maybe just a muffin and some tea or something, what about you?" She said, looking back over to him. Well this certainly helped relieve the stress. Already she was smiling, and War didn't seem particularly depressed, either.

"Humm, not really sure." he responded after examining the menu for himself. His eyes then fell to the glass displays and he took a few steps to one side to see what exactly there was behind the glass. After a few simple moments of this he spotted something that cuaght his attention and he nodded, reading over the title card silently in his head. He walked back to where Lang was standing, glanced at her as if to say 'alright, lets order.' and walked up to the counter where the casheir was waiting for them. "Hello." he greeted, his voice pretty indifferent but somewhat polite. "Hello Sir, what may I get you today?" was the man's polite but bored sounding reply. "I'd like to get an unsweetened herbal tea and a slice of cinnamon monkey bread, and also.." - he took a step to the left to open room up at the counter for Lang - " please add the lady's order to mine." (Yea...cinnamon monkey bread...sounds weird, but it looks really good. www.preparedpantry.com/ProductImages/pasteries/full-d8.jpg )

Lang smiled lightly, watching him order. Cinnamon monkey bread? That sounded awfully interesting, she'd have to try it. In fact, she couldn't resist. "I'll have the cinnamon monkey stuff too, please, and a vanilla nut tea." She said to the cashier with a smile, and looked back to War. "Thanks." She said, grinning to him to show her appreciation. Woot! Free monkey bread! That would be an adventure to try, even if the name was the only abnormal thing about it, she could still tell people she had monkey bread, at least.
ooc: That actually looks awesome! xD Looks like monkey brains.

"Coming right up." replied the cashier after summing up the bill, giving War the total, and going off to retrieve their purchase.
War just smiled back at Lang, "You're welcome." And then rummaged around an inside pocket of his long coat. Pulling out a bill marked twenty dollars.
Upon the cashier's return, he set the two glasses of tea on the counter while the Aisha slipped him the bill. "No change." War didn't intend on getting money back and didn't care if he did. The only reason he was paying with an actual bill now was because the purchase was too small for a credit card. And the cashier excepted this happily, grateful for the tip.
While the cashier went to retrieve the remainders of the two's order, War picked up the two drinks and handed over the vanilla nut tea to Lang.
Two toss away plates were dished out, each holding a fairly large slice of the cinnamon monkey bread, smothered in the cinnamon syrup stuff. Each warm and radiating with a sweet scent. The Aisha took the first plate and fork, handing it, once again, to Lang and picking up his own. "So, where do you wanna sit?" he asked her, turning to look at the several tables and booths scattered throughout the small building.
(Yea it kinda does but, either way, I really wanna try it. It looks so good. Oh no fair, War and Lang get to eat it and we don't!)

"Thanks again, I owe you one." Lang said with a smile, gratefully taking her tea, then the strange bread, which she couldn't wait to try. Normally, she would at least protest a little at being bought food, but today, she didn't exactly have any money, so she'd have to mooch for the time being. And he did offer, at least. Besides, she certainly didn't mind getting a free meal here and there.
Lang then turned around, looking out to the tables scattered here and there. "There's a free one by the window, how 'bout there?" Lang said, pointing with the hand that held the bread, before walking over to it and setting her food down at one spot on the small wood table.

"Ah, its fine. This is nothing." he said as he followed after her. Really, compared to other things he'd normally buy this was nothing. Well ok, he ate normal food like everyone, not like he cared for gourmet foods, but we're talking about other things. After all, he lived in a mansion and worked using lots of expensive things, together that summed up a lot. However, his work supported it just fine.
He sat down his plate and beverage on the opposite side of the little table as she. Pulling out his chair and sitting down, facing her. He then glanced down at his food, this oddly delicious looking snack. "Heh, I've never actually tried this stuff before. I hope its as good as it looks..." he spoke, not taking his eyes off of the bread.

"Well, even if it was nothing, much appreciated." She replied, sitting down as well and looking at the monkey bread. "Me either, looks interesting though." Lang said with a light smile, pulling off a piece and plopping it in her mouth. She smiled at the taste of the sweet bread, it was definately good. "Mmm, monkey brains." She said with a giggle. Despite how good it tasted, it had a bit of an odd name, and look to it, making it all the more intriguing.
Once she had taken another bite, she picked up her tea in one hand, stirring it with a bit of sugar and cream before taking some small sips.

His eyes lifted from his plate to watch Lang as she tried the food new to them both. He chuckled lightly at her response to it. "Yes...I guess they do rather resemble a monkey's brain." he said, with false scientific sounding voice. With that he too ripped off a piece of his, and plopped it in his mouth. "Mmmm." It was good, just like he thought.
He took a few more bites and used a few light drinks of his tea to wash it down, satisfied with both. "So, I've failed to ask you in return. How have you been recently?" he asked casually. "I believe I made I promise to you awhile ago that'd I'd help you with your motorcycle; I plan to honer that, if you're still willing to give me that chance. Has there been any progress?"

"Yup, it actually is monkey brains, but since it tastes so good, people just called it monkey cake so other people would actually eat it. That's also why they have so my cinnamon stuff on it." She said with a shrug, totally making this up as she went, yet managed to say it with a straight face, before smiling to him lightly.
"Oh, me? Not much has been going on really, my motorcycle is still a heap of rubbish, sadly. Fraid I'm not quite sure how to get it started." She said with an embarrassed smile.

"Yes, yes." He agreed, continuing to play along with this little joke. "And thank you for the cinnamon, for brain without shall be the end of me." He pointed out. Somewhere back in his head, he actually thought about consuming something like that, and could nearly swear he'd rather not eat for a month then eat that.
"Ah...then my promise goes without waist. It would be horrible if I didn't honer it." he said happily, but ended up pausing after a quick thought. "Then again, if you would have finished earlier you could have been using it this whole time..."

"Haha, yeah, the cinnamon adds a nice little zing to the brain." She replied with a light laugh.
"Aw, thanks for remembering. Well, if it ever gets fixed, that's something, no problem if I went a while without it working." She said to him with another smile, taking a bite out of her brain food.
